The Pic du Jer is the most beautiful panorama of the Pyrenees from Lourdes. In the immediate vicinity of the town center of Lourdes, the Pic du Jer offers an exceptional 360° belvedere over the Pyrenees peaks, the town of Lourdes and its lake, the town of Tarbes and the Gaves valley. On a clear day, the city of Pau is also visible. Accessible to all, access to its summit is easy and quick (10 minutes) thanks to its century-old funicular. On arrival at the upper station, a bar-restaurant with a panoramic terrace offers regional dishes. A few hundred meters of trails lead to its summit located at an altitude of 1000 meters. You can walk peacefully in a rural environment while admiring a grandiose view of the Pyrenees. Guided tours of caves will delight you and for the more sporty our Downhill mountain bike trails worldwide thanks to the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup and its black slope, the Pic du Jer has become in a few years a very popular training site for amateurs and competitors.
